The city, famous for its amazing sea, has a rich heritage of historical sites such as the Bodrum Castle and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. The vast variety of nightlife entertainments, bars, clubs and even floating nightclubs are another attraction during summer season.

Situated in Aegean Region of Turkey, Bodrum has the perfect climate for all kinds of summer activities like yachting, wind surfing and even scuba diving. The Bodrum Castle, or the Castle of St. Peter is one of many historical attractions. The castle, constructed in 15th century, overlooks the marina and the harbour. Besides its amazing view, the castle houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, which has a great collection of relics from the middle ages. Aside from the castle, Bodrum also has one of the 7 Wonders of the World, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus or Tomb of Mausolus. It is a tomb built for Mausolus, a local ruler in the Persian Empire, between 353 and 350 BC.

Aside from its historical charm, this port city offers many getaway routes to nearest islands and ports of Greece (Kos, Rhodes) and Turkey (Marmaris, Datca, Dalyan, Altinkum). There are also private boat tours departing from the Marina daily. If you would like to have some tranquility sunbathing in the hidden coves and swimming in the clean blue waters, this might be the right option for you.

For the luxurious and delicious dinner plans, you might want to book one of the many restaurants on Bodrum’s waterfront. Its amazing view is the perfect appetizer for the delicious and plentiful Turkish sea cuisine. Aside from the local fish and seafood joints, the eateries ranging from traditional Aegean to World cuisine give visitors many options.
